Under the title ‘Intolerance. The lost match. Respect unites us’, a round table organised by the Fundació VCF took place this Thursday, May 7, at the Estadi Antonio Puchades with the participation of authoritative voices on the matter and aimed especially at the VCF Academy, the VCF Inclusivo and relatives of both groups.
The event featured Mouctar Diakhaby and Andrea Recio, footballers from Valencia CF; Antonio Mateu Lahoz, former international referee; Álex Sánchez, former First Division footballer, the first player without a hand, who debuted with Real Zaragoza in 2009 at Mestalla and currently a member of the Social Affairs and Institutional Relations Department at LALIGA; José Antonio Montero, director of the Social Affairs and Institutional Relations Department at LALIGA; Ramón Llopis, professor of Sociology at the Universitat de València; and Ángel Galán, coordinator in the Valencian Community of Movimiento contra la Intolerancia.
Likewise, the event began with the reading of the Valencia CF anti-discrimination decalogue (VCF World-Zero Discrimination) by Noelia and Rubén, players from the VCF Academy. Likewise, Carmen Arce 'Kubalita', pioneer goalkeeper for the Spanish National Team in the 1970s, also had a special role.
The stage also shared space with the exhibition ‘Intolerance. The lost match. Respect unites us’, prepared by the Heritage Department of the Fundació VCF, focused on children and young audiences and which will travel around schools linked to the sporting-educational project of the Fundació VCF Escoles Cor Blanquinegre.
